圖5是NMS公司的VoATM典型網(wǎng)關結(jié)構(gòu)。
為具體起見，圖6給出一個960話音端口的應用方案，其中用到了三種NMS公司的設備：AG-4000c、S007和TX-3220c，圖中未列出用來運行應用程序的CPU板（AG4000系列板卡不含CPU，而AG600eC包含了CPU）。

縮略語：
CP-IWF：Customer Premise Inter-working
Function，用戶側(cè)（用戶端）網(wǎng)絡互連功能。
CO-IWF：Central Office Inter-working Function：局端（中心局）網(wǎng)絡互連功能。
VS：Voice-band Service，話帶業(yè)務。
IS：In-band Signaling，帶內(nèi)信令（隨路信令）。
SSCS：Service Specific Convergence Sublayer，（特定）業(yè)務會聚子層。
CPS：Common Part Sublayer，公共（部分）子層。
CAS：Channel Associated Signaling，隨路信令。
